I created the original art for reproduction on these cards using color pencils and henna paste on a map of Italy. There is a little verse about her in Italian, on the inside front cover, and the translation beneath it. On the back of the card is a bit about La Befana.

La Befana is the Christmas witch of Italy. She is the first Christmas card that I drew and designed and I am in love with her! She is a sweet sort of witchy woman, very house proud, and in her own way honors the Christ child with her gifts to the little children of Italy; candy and trinkets left in their socks if they are good, lumps of coal if they are naughty.
